Poco X3 Pro Review: Most Powerful In Its Class?

Besides that, the power and volume buttons are on the right side and they feel good and durable to press on. The power button also doubles as the fingerprint reader.

  • Other specifications include dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5, GPS, stereo speakers, and high-res audio certification.
  • If our Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro review hasn’t convinced you that this is the phone you want, here are three more phones to consider.
  • If you want more battery life, don’t care for 5G, and are looking for a more affordable handset then the X3 Pro is the more appealing option of the pair.
  • It’s no surprise, really, as the Poco X3 Pro houses a 5,160mAh battery – which is massive by any measure.
  • You’ll notice most often when scrolling quickly and slow down.

Video tops out at 4K 30 frames per second, but there is proper stabilization for smoother clips. Images are relatively soft, and the softness kicks up a level in the ultra-wide, as is to be expected from a budget 8MP sensor. However, the Poco X3 Pro’s main camera performs noticeably worse than some of the alternatives, including Xiaomi’s own Poco X3 NFC and Redmi Note 10 Pro. In fact, I found them in line with those from the POCO X3. The lower resolution ultra-wide sensor also means you won’t have much headroom to crop and edit images.

  • The Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro is a very fast mid-range smartphone with an extensive feature set at a low price.
  • POCO X3 Pro comes with a stock firmware file 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080×2400 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sensitivity.
  • And it currently supports games including League of Legends Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile, etc.
  • Electronic stabilization is available on the primary and ultrawide cameras.

Once you figure out how everything works there is at least plenty of customisation, but there are still confusing limitations here. The ‘floating windows’ feature, for example, lets you drag notifications down to open apps in their own mini-tab on-screen. There’s no wireless charging, but that’s really no surprise given the price.

Other than that, there are no unexpected hardware surprises here – USB Type-C port, noise cancelation microphone, IR blaster, audio jack are all there. The 33W fast charger bundled in the box can top up around 60 percent of the battery in just 30 minutes. No phone under INR 20k is truly impressive when it comes to photography. The Poco X3 Pro might not be the best in the category and falls a tad behind Redmi Note 10 Pro and Realme 8 Pro. In practical terms, the experience you’d get is pretty decent.

Because it’s an LCD, blacks don’t always necessarily look like blacks, and you won’t benefit from a rich contrast ratio that can be found on AMOLED panels as a result. Moving on to hardware, the Poco X3 Pro boasts one of the most powerful chipsets in this price segment, the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 860. Yes, it is a rebadged variant of the Snapdragon 855+, but there are a few tweaks such as a higher clock speed. It also supports new camera features like ultra-wide lens night mode and selfie night mode. Poco X3 Pro with its 48 MP main lens can shoot some very detailed, crisp, and colourful photos when it is subjected to lots of light. The Poco X3 Pro is also surprisingly capable in low light situations as it offers a night mode too.
